Not only is it Enid’s birthday, but Vance Air Force Base is celebrating its 80th anniversary this weekend, and the public is invited to join in the festivities Friday at Woodring Regional Airport!

The early part of Friday evening’s activities are free of charge. There will be a “Keep ‘Em Flying Heritage Ceremony,” which includes watching Vance’s heritage tails fly over and land. There will be food trucks, face painting for the kids and you can get photos with the heritage-painted aircraft.

Following the ceremony, the party moves inside a hanger for a 1940s-themed Hangar Dance beginning at 8 pm. Tickets range from $10 to $35.

Happy anniversary, Vance AFB!
