The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed former Oklahoma State Cowboy and Enid Outlaw Lindy Waters III. The deal is a 2-way contract which means that he can play in both the NBA G-League and the NBA. Waters III averaged 12.2 ppg as a junior with the cowboys and 10.5 ppg as a senior.
Waters III joins former Cowboys teammate Cade Cunningham in the NBA. Waters III path to the NBA is an unusual one. After his senior season with the Cowboys, the Oklahoma native played for the Semi-Pro basketball team the Enid Outlaws.
His next stop was with Thunder’s G-League team the Oklahoma Blue where he has already played in 28 games. With his new 2-way deal he will split time between the Blue and the Thunder.
