Northern Oklahoma College physical sciences, engineering, and process technology instructor Frankie Wood-Black highlighted the college’s current and upcoming programs in an interview with CTB News.
One of the programs that Wood-Black mentioned was a summer camp for 8th graders interested in renewable energy. The camp would have activities for the kids like looking at drones, solar power, and even making a model windmill.
Another key program that Woods-Black highlighted was the cooperative program at Northern Oklahoma College. A program that would allow engineering students at Northern Oklahoma College to get real-life work experience in their field.
This is invaluable for a student wanting a competitive advantage against their peers in the same field. Woods-Black also highlighted her own experience and qualifications, she has 18 years of real-world experience in the Process Technology Industry. Also, she is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science or AAAS.
