During a press conference earlier today, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt announced strategies that he would ask the legislature to enact to bring fortune 500 companies to Oklahoma.

Governor Stitt is already in talks with a Fortune 500 company in the hopes of luring them to Oklahoma. But Stitt is unable to disclose who the company is due to a non-disclosure agreement signed between Stitt and the company.

If the company is the same company previously mentioned in an interview with Stitt, then Oklahoma is competing with Kansas and other states for the company.

Governor Stitt is asking for a 2.5% kicker to the quality jobs program, a 1% kicker on the investment tax credit, and a massive 85% rebate on the incentive tax credit program.

Stitt believes that if these changes are adopted by the legislature, then the legislation will bring 70,000 jobs to Oklahoma and make a “generational impact on Oklahoma”.
