It is a new era for Enid Plainsmen & Pacer Basketball.

Last night’s Enid Public Schools Board of Education Meeting solidified Jonathon Reed as the new Boys Varsity Basketball coach, and William Milton as the new Girls Varsity Basketball coach.

Reed has entrenched himself in the Enid Community recently as the owner/president/general manager of the Enid Outlaws pro Basketball team currently competing in their second season in town. The Outlaws won the TBL Championship in their debut season back in the Spring of 2021.

As a player, Reed won a National Championship at Cedar Valley Junior College.  After stops at Arkansas State and Clayton State, Reed began a ten-year professional career overseas. The point guard played in China, Switzerland, Estonia, and Ireland where he was Player of the Year in 2009. Reed has worked with pros such as Steph Curry, Kawhi Leonard, and new OKC Thunder/Former Enid Outlaw, Lindy Waters III.
