Enid Public Schools is holding a school board meeting tonight on Monday, May 16. One of the key items on the agenda will be whether or not the school board will hire Angela Rhoades as the new Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education.

If hired Rhoades will replace longtime district employee Dr. Dudley Darrow who took the Chisholm Public Schools Superintendent job earlier this month. Whoever replaces Darrow has large shoes to fill as Darrow had been an employee of Enid since 2005. Darrow also recently won a statewide award for assistant superintendent of the year.

Other points of order during the meeting that will be discussed are whether or not to approve an agreement with Great Salt Plains to conduct athletic physicals in exchange for advertising space in athletic programs and on athletic digital displays.

Also, district employees Athletic Director Billy Tipps, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Dudley Darrow, Swimming Coach Lindsey Watts, and Softball Coach Chris Jensen will all be recognized for awards that they have won.
