4 Enid businesses have been named as the recipients of the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program award. The award is given out by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and ranges from $25,000 to $125,000.
Enid recipients of the award include Wako, Parrish Enterprises, No Man’s Land Foods, and Sidwell Seeds. These companies receive awards via payroll tax rebates to help companies grow and boost business expansion.
Factors that were considered when choosing the recipients of the award include, the average wage paid to employees, the number of existing jobs, the number of projected new jobs as well as other economic factors.
Businesses statewide and not just those in Oklahoma receive the award. Commerce Executive Director Brent Kisling “We are excited to announce this impressive round of OIEP funding to help businesses and continue to grow our own here in Oklahoma,”.
