On Monday, May 24 the City of Enid announced that the intersection of Van Buren, and Phillips would be closed due to waterline construction. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday, May 25. The waterline construction is part of the Kaw Lake water project to bring Enid its water from Kaw Lake.
Waterline construction due to the project has caused several road closures. However, the closures are usually on small sections of roads and don’t take long to complete. Enid encourages drivers to drive with caution in construction areas and follow posted traffic control signs.
