On Tuesday, May 24 Northern Oklahoma College announced that they were the recipients of a wind energy grant from FedEx that will give the college a wind turbine. The turbine will be used for the college’s wind energy program. Students in the wind energy and pre-engineering program will be able to use the turbine for research projects.

Pre-engineering division chair Professor Frankie Wood-Black said “This is an exciting opportunity as it is going to allow our students to have hands-on experience with a wind turbine as well as be able to conduct real-world studies and research,”.

The grant is a boon for the college’s clean energy program as they continue to focus on preparing students for the growing clean energy industry.
