Long-time City Employee Retires, is Honored at City Council Meeting

A long-time city of Enid employee has announced his retirement after 31 years of service with the city of Enid. The employee is Enid Planning Coordinator Chris Bauer and he was honored by the City Council during last night’s city council meeting.

Bauer was awarded a plaque as well as a city coin and he was also allowed to speak some words. Bauer thanked City Manager Gerald Gilbert who he had worked under for 11 years. He also thanked Assistant City Planner Karla Ruther saying ” you and I have climbed many a mountain together”. Bauer will continue to work for the city until the end of the month.
