The city of Enid will be hosting a 4th of July celebration at Meadowlake Park, the Park and Recreations Department announced. Festivities will start off early in the morning with a fishing derby that is open to the public.

While the more traditional 4th of July celebration will take place at night with a symphony playing at 8:30 pm and then fireworks show starting at 9:30 pm. This year’s show also has a theme and that theme is the wild west.

The show will mark an occasion for the community to come together and celebrate the 4th of July together. The fireworks display is also late enough that those who are at different 4th of July parties will still have time to see the fireworks display.
