Enid’s city commissioners will start receiving updates on the Kaw Lake water project during the city commissioner meetings. Originally the updates were only being given to the Kaw Lake oversite committee but they will now be given to the city commissioners as well.

The Kaw Lake water project is an ambitious infrastructure project that seeks to bring Enid water from Kaw Lake to a new water treatment facility in Enid. Several temporary road closures have already been caused to complete the construction of the new waterlines.

Commissioners will receive the update during the city commission meeting on Thursday, July 7th at 6:30 pm. Meetings normally take place on Tuesday but the 4th of July holiday caused the meeting to be pushed back to Thursday.

Also being discussed at the meeting is whether or not to allow more hens in a wider variety of zoning districts within the city of Enid.
