This Saturday at Government Springs from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm the Garfield County Democrat Party will be hosting a “Candidate Cookout”. During the event, they will be serving hot dogs, ice cream, and nachos.
Several Democrat candidates for statewide and national offices will be attending the event. Already confirmed for the event are Lt. Governor candidate Melinda Alizadeh-Fard, (US Senate/Inhofe’s seat) candidate Kendra Horn, (in a runoff for US Senate/Lankford’s seat) candidates Jason Bollinger and Madison Horn, (US House of Reps., CD3/Lucas) candidate Jeremiah Ross and others.
Democrat Governor candidate Joy Hofmeister will be campaigning elsewhere on that date. The event is a come-and-go format and not all candidates will be there for the entirety of the event. Runoff elections for primaries will take place on Aug 23rd while the Midterm Elections are on Nov 8th.
