The Enid Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Kyle Whitehead due to health reasons. A plaque was presented by the school board that would be given to Whitehead at a later date for his 10 years of service.
Dr. Darrell Floyd said “he’s done a great job for us for 10 years of service on the board” Floyd also read what was on the plaque that would be given to Whitehead, the plaque read in part “your dedication compassion and leadership qualities have contributed to excellence in the lives of EPS students”.
The Enid High School baseball team was recognized during the meeting for its regional championship and state quarterfinal appearance. Kitty Herbel was also recognized for being selected as our local 2022 Air & Space Forces (AFA) Chapter Teacher of the Year.
