The Enid Police Department put out the following press release.
Monday afternoon, 49-year-old Phillip Alan Rickerson was arrested on a complaint of failure to comply with the Sex Offender Registration Act. Officers responded twice Monday to 2901 S. Van Buren on unrelated calls and were told Rickerson had been residing at the address. Rickerson is a registered sex offender and that address is not an approved area for sex offenders to reside.
Rickerson was located at a nearby convenience store and taken into custody for questioning. During an interview, Rickerson admitted to staying at the South Van Buren address in violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act. Rickerson was convicted in 2002 in Oklahoma County on a charge of sexual battery of a person over the age of 16.
