On the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept 27th a barn caught fire on E. Southgate Rd. The fire was possibly caused by an engine fire on a pickup truck that was parked up against the barn. While the barn was metal and was still standing after the fire, heavy damage was done to both the barn and the pickup truck.
The Enid Fire Department was quickly on the scene to put out the fire to the barn, pickup truck, and the surrounding trees and grass, some of which had also caught fire.
Whether the barn or pickup truck caught fire 1st is unknown at this time and the Enid Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire. Check back later for updates.
