Local Steak House Closes Down in Downtown Enid

SHARE NOW

After 3 years a restaurant in downtown Enid is closing its doors. The restaurant is Cherokee Land Ranch and Cattle Company in downtown Enid. The owners of the establishment released the following statement.

After long conversations with our partner and our family, we have decided to close the Ranch (effective immediately) and place this awesome building up for sale. It has not been an easy thought process, but many factors have contributed to decision.
We bought the historic building in May of 2019 and life was fantastic. As we started planning how the restaurant and bar would flow all while ensuring the history and its so many cool features from the early 1900’s remain intact, we started the construction phase, January of 2020.
We faced many obstacles starting with our building being broken in to and most all our tools, TV’s, computers etc. being stolen. Then Hello COVID 19! This was no simple obstacle to face or even yet conquer. All the building materials, equipment, electrical, lumber and furnishings soon took a large increase in pricing causing our build out to drastically exceed our original budget.
As we got through this, we have now seen our economy, food supply chain, trucking issues, commodity increases, grocery increase and with all of these facing you, our customers, we had to make a hard decision.
We have loved making so many new friends serving you and your families. We have some groups coming up over the next few weeks and will be happy honor those that have previously booked.
Enid. We cannot thank you enough for allowing us to serve this community and while this may end one dream, there will be more in the future!
So, Thank You to each one that has called The Ranch “home” for the last couple years! We will miss you! To our Team. Each of you have made us a success and we are very proud of all your contributions!
It’s time for us to focus on family and health.
Until we meet again!
