Enid High School’s JROTC program performed a flag-folding ceremony for veterans at Colton’s Steakhouse. Every hour from 1-4 pm the students would perform the flag folding ceremony while veteran and National Veterans Flagpole United President Cale Grauberger explained the symbolic meaning of each of the 13 folds.

Enid’s JROTC instructor Tech Sgt. Nelson said due to the seriousness of the ceremony he only allows students to perform it who are serious themselves. Sgt. Nelson is also encouraged by the students in the program that he can teach them about military and American traditions.

The veterans in the room were solemn during the folding ceremony with one veteran even showing tears. Showing how much the flag-folding ceremony meant to them.
