During day 1 of preliminary hearings for the murder trial of Michael S. Geiger, Geiger waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Geiger is charged with 1st-degree murder and 1st-degree rape and kidnapping. His arraignment date has been set for December 12th at 10 am. Count 4, burglary in the 1st degree has been dismissed.
Geiger briefly testified during day 1 of the preliminary hearing which only lasted for about 10 minutes confirming that he understood what he was doing in waiving his right to a preliminary hearing.
Geiger entered a plea of not guilty.
