Jennifer Lopez To Release Her First New Album In Nine Years

Jennifer Lopez is planning to release her first new album in nine years. 

The singer announced on the 20th anniversary of This Is Me…Then that her forthcoming project, This Is Me…Now will drop in 2023.  

In a preview of her Apple Music interview, shared on Instagram Sunday (November 27th), Lopez said, “20 years ago I fell in love with the love of my life and I was working on an album and it was called this is me then and it’s all about capturing that moment in time.”

She told host Zane Lowe, “When I’m in love is when I’m inspired and I was the most inspired then. and I have not made another record like that since then.”

The Marry Me star added, “Now, 20 years later. It does have a happy ending…and the reason we’re here is that I want to capture this moment in time because it is even better than the first time.”

The 2002 album was dedicated to her current husband Ben Affleck and the track list for her new project includes the song “Dear Ben, Part II.”
