Enid Man Arrested After 3 Hour Standoff with Police

An Enid man was arrested for armed robbery after a 3-hour standoff with police. The Enid police department announced in a press release that Garland Manning age 34 was taken into custody after being suspected of committing an armed robbery at an Enid bar last weekend.

When police arrived to make an arrest Manning refused to leave a home beginning a 3-hour standoff. The standoff ended when Manning agreed to leave the home. Syrea Cooper age 34 was also arrested for obstruction, resisting arrest, and harboring a fugitive. Manning was suspected of the weekend robbery when a man was caught on video brandishing a firearm and stealing cash from a bar.

Jerred Cooper age 31 was arrested Wednesday for allegedly taking part in a separate home burglary with Manning on December 8th.
