Day 1 of KNID Agrifest See’s Large Crowds

Day 1 of the 26th annual KNID Agrifest saw large crowds and a visit from Oklahoma’s United States Representative Frank Lucas. KNID Agrifest is billed as the largest farm show in Northwest Oklahoma.

Day 1 took place at the Chisholm Trail Expocenter, admission and parking were free for the event. Attendees were able to view millions of dollars in agricultural products and services including tractors, feed stalls, trucks, and even a haulable pizza oven.

United States Congressman Frank Lucas spoke at the Oklahoma Sorghum Growers Annual Meeting about the Farm Bill and the challenge of trying to pass it through congress.

USDA held a talk called Beginning Farmer and Rancher, while Amy Haggerman with OSU and USDA Southern Plains Climate Hub held a talk called Agriculture and Climate A Conversation.

Day 2 of Agrifest will take place on Saturday, January 14th from 9 am to 5 pm.
