Enid Fire Marshall Ken Helms has announced his retirement. In a statement posted on the Enid Fire Department’s Facebook page, Helms said “After 25 years of service, I am stepping aside and retiring from the Enid Fire Department. (Today is my last day…) It has been my great privilege, an honor and a blessing to have served as a Firefighter, Driver, Assistant Fire Marshal and finally Fire Marshal for the City of Enid for the past 15 years. I am so proud to have been a part of what I truly believe to be the BEST fire department in the Great State of Oklahoma. God Bless the Enid Fire Department!”

Helm’s replacement has not yet been announced by the city of Enid.
