PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — There won’t be any parties on Broad Street Sunday night.

The Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, 38-35, in Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Despite the loss, Jalen Hurts left it all on the field.

Hurts had four total touchdowns — three on the ground and one through the air. He completed 27 of his 37 passes for 304 yards and one touchdown to A.J. Brown. He had three rushing scores and recorded 70 yards on 15 carries.

Hurts achieved several historical milestones in the loss. He set the record for most rushing yards in the Super Bowl by a quarterback and became the first signal-caller to rush for three touchdowns in the big game.

The Eagles’ defense only allowed one touchdown to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the first-half, but the second half was a different story. The Chiefs scored three touchdowns in the final two quarters, including two in the fourth.

Mahomes, who was playing with an ankle injury, completed 21 of his 27 passes for three touchdowns for 182 yards.

Travis Kelce led the Chiefs in receiving with six catches for 81 yards and one touchdown. Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore also added receiving scores.

The Eagles’ defense also got gashed on the ground.

Isiah Pacheco, a Rutgers product and Vineland, New Jersey native, had 15 carries for 76 yards and one touchdown.
