Enid, Oklahoma, March 8, 2023 – St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is named in the top 5% on
Newsweek’s list of World’s Best Hospitals 2023. This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek
and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list can
be viewed on Newsweek’s website, www.newsweek.com/rankings/worlds-best-hospitals-2023/united-

Methodology

Newsweek and Statista developed a methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking.
Four data sources were used for the evaluation:
 Hospital Recommendations from Medical Experts: an international online survey that
included more than 80,000 doctors, hospital managers and health care professionals
 Patient Experience: surveys measuring patient satisfaction with hospitals
 Hospital Quality Metrics: data on quality of care for treatments, hygiene measures, patient
safety, and staffing
 PROMs Implementation: online survey on implementation and use of PROMs in hospitals
