On Friday, March 31st dry windy conditions led to fires in north Oklahoma and South Kansas. At around 3:00 pm there were reports of a 1 to 2-mile fire near Easton and Wheat Capital near Covington.

At around noon there were reports of a large wildfire in southern Kansas in Barber County. Fire lines were set up as fire crews scrambled to get the large fire under control. There was also a grass fire at East Robertson Rd north of Enid and reports of a powerline fire in Breckenridge.

If dry conditions continue it could lead to many more fires in Oklahoma throughout the spring and summer.
