A second copyright lawsuit against Ed Sheeran has been dropped. Billboard reported on Wednesday (5-17), that a U.S. District Judge reversed an earlier decision, which ultimately meant that the case was dismissed.

This particular lawsuit was filed by Structured Asset Sales, which owns a partial stake in the Marvin Gaye song, “Let’s Get It On.” Just two weeks ago, Sheeran won the suit that claimed he stole from that song to write his hit, “Thinking Outload.”

TL;DR:

  • A second copyright lawsuit against Ed Sheeran has been dropped.
  • It was filed by Structured Asset Sales, which owns a partial stake in the Marvin Gaye song, “Let’s Get It On.”
