Elaine Johns with the Woodring Wall of Honor spoke with CTB News about the upcoming JUCO World Series opening ceremony which will take place at David Allen Memorial Ballpark tonight at 7:00 pm. During the interview, Johns spoke about the opening ceremony and how it will celebrate veterans.
It will start with World War 2 Veterans who will walk to 1st base carrying a torch until they pass the torch to a Korean War veteran at 1st base. The Korean War veteran will then pass the torch to a Vietnam veteran at 2nd base who will then walk to 3rd passing the torch to a modern-day military member who will take the torch home.
On Memorial Day itself in the morning, the Woodring Wall of Honor will be holding a Memorial Day ceremony at the Wall of Honor.
