Fairview Hangs on in Defensive Battle Against the Crescent Tigers

The Fairview Public Schools Yellow Jackets hold on to defeat the Crescent Tigers 19-7. It was a slugfest with both teams having momentum at various points. The Tigers had the ball at the 8 yard line down a score in the 4th quarter with a chance to go ahead but a fumble lost the Tigers several yards and they were unable to convert on 4th and long.

For the Yellow Jackets Isaiah Burris was dominant with 161 yds rushing and 75yds receiving including a 45 yd touchdown run. QB Jax Bernard made the right throws at the right time throwing for 142 yds passing and Reed Martens made several clutch catches with 43yds receiving.

The Tigers gave the defending State Champs all they could handle Kade Varner nearly engineered a 4th quarter comeback, Colby Watson, and Tanner Rice each had big runs. Congratulations to Crescent on a great season and to Fairview on a big win.
