‘Inside Out 2’ Surpasses ‘Frozen 2’ As Highest-Grossing Animated Film In History

Disney’s Inside Out 2 has surged ahead of Frozen 2 to become the highest-grossing animated film of all time, generating $601 million domestically and $861 million internationally for a global total of $1.46 billion. The Pixar sequel is also the highest-grossing film of 2024 so far, and has edged past Barbie ($1.446 billion) to become the 13th-biggest movie of all time in terms of global ticket sales. It took just 19 days to cross the $1 billion threshold. Inside Out 2 has propelled Pixar out of a recent box office slump and benefited from a decade-long wait for fans since the original movie.
