Terrifier 3 landed an impressive debut as the No. 1 movie in North America, with the low-budget horror sequel raking in a remarkable $18.3 million in its opening weekend. Following closely behind was The Wild Robot, claiming the second spot with $13.45 million in its third week. Last week’s box office champion, Joker: Folie à Deux, saw a sharp decline to third place with just $7.055 million. That’s the worst one-week decline ever for a comic book movie and one of the biggest among any release in Hollywood history. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Transformers One earned $7.050 million and $3.65 million, respectively, to round out the top five. (THR)
