Music legend David Crosby biologically fathered two of Melissa Etheridge’s children. And now, Etheridge has revealed that the dearly departed Cros also helped many other couples conceive. In a new interview with People to promote her forthcoming Paramount+ docuseries, Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken, the singer/songwriter praised Crosby and his generous participation in artificial insemination with Etheridge and her longtime partner Julie Cypher, which resulted in the birth of their daughter Bailey and their late son Beckett. Etheridge shared that it was Crosby’s wife, Jan Dance, who first suggested the arrangement to Etheridge.
“They had just had help having their son and they appreciated that. They wanted to pay it forward.” Etheridge said. “We’re still finding kids from David Crosby out in the world. My daughter’s like, ‘I have another half-sister.’” Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken premieres on Paramount+ on July 9. (Consequence of Sound)
