Tim McGraw could have asked anyone to open for his Standing Room Only tour and they would have jumped at the opportunity. But McGraw decided to keep things within the family, and the country star asked his nephew, Timothy Wayne, to open up for him on the remaining dates of the tour. McGraw proudly shared the news on Instagram, captioning a clip of he and Timothy Wayne singing Keith Whitley‘s 1988 classic “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” with: “He may be my nephew… but he’s the real deal!! Just listen to him sing the hell outta this song. Excited to have @timothywaynemusic open up this last run of shows!”

Timothy Wayne responded excitedly in the comments, saying, “I can’t wait! I am Beyond blessed and honored to be doing this. I’m going to give it my all and then some!????????????????????????” Carly Pearce and Timothy Wayne will open for McGraw’s remaining June dates on his Standing Room Only tour. (People)
