Killer Mike has completed his required time of community service, and will not face charges for his arrest following the Grammy Awards in February. The rapper won three Grammys that night, including Best Rap Album for his solo record, Michael. But the rapper apparently got into an altercation with a security guard at the ceremony, which led to his arrest. Ivor Pine, a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, released a statement that stated that Killer Mike had fulfilled “a community service requirement that was imposed.” The office declined to make any additional comments on the matter.
Following the initial incident, the Los Angeles Police Department said that Killer Mike had been arrested on a charge of misdemeanor battery. While representatives for Killer Mike declined to make a comment about today’s proceedings, in his own statement two days after the incident, the rapper said he had gotten into an altercation with a security guard while trying to enter the venue.
