T.I. was arrested at the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Sunday night (August 4), but according to reports of the incident, “it was a case of mistaken identity.” According to TMZ, an arrest warrant had previously been issued for another man named Clifford Harris — which coincidentally is T.I.’s real name — who was wanted in Baltimore, Maryland. The other Clifford Harris is apparently wanted for violent behavior and stalking a woman. T.I. was apparently taken from the airport directly to Clayton County Jail, and due to the warrant being issued in another state, his arrest launched an automatic extradition hearing. Steve Sadow, T.I.’s attorney, has confirmed that T.I. had been released “within two hours of arrest,” and that the judge had already dismissed the order. T.I. has not made any public comments on the ordeal as of yet. (Uproxx)
