Enid Animal Welfare and Olson’s Animal Hospital are set to host their annual rabies clinic on Thursday, April 13 at the Stride Bank Center.

This event will be open to not just pet owners in the Enid community, but to those in surrounding areas as well.

The clinic will operate from 12-5 p.m. Rabies vaccinations for local pets will cost $13, while city tags will cost $2. All transactions must be paid with physical money.

Those with animals who don’t do well in big crowds are free to come earlier or later in the event in order to avoid them. The clinic also asks those with pets who have issues getting along with new people and other pets to leave those furry friends in their vehicle while in line for payment. Then, those pet owners can ask for instructions on the best way to give that pet their vaccine.

City tags can only be obtained with a valid rabies vaccination, however you can obtain a receipt from front records at the Enid Police Department roughly two weeks after the clinic.

Anyone looking for just a city tag and do not need a vaccine for their pet can come to the event and are free to leave said pet at home. All that will be required is proof of vaccination.

Dogs must be contained on a short leash with collars or harnesses properly fitted where they can’t pull out. Meanwhile, cats must be in carriers.
