The City of Enid Mayor and Board of Commissioners are hosting their bi-weekly Regular Study Session and Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
The study session will begin at 5 p.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Municipal Complex. The following are some highlighted items for discussion during the session:
- 3.1) Discuss the “Strong Dads” program
- 3.2) Discuss current and proposed shipping container building permit requirements
- 3.4) Discuss the Ames waterline project
The regular meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the Mayor and Board of Commissioners discussing various topics such as public hearings regarding property rezoning, adopting city ordinances and a change in boundaries for Ward One and Two to reflect the population change. The city will also have to approve the claims totaling $8,266,917.85 throughout the session. The board will also consider a resolution authorizing the city attorney to levy a judgment on the Workers Compensation Commission of the State of Oklahoma.
More items of note include the following:
- 7.14) Approve a resolution amending the 2024-2025 General Fund Budget by appropriating additional funds in the amount of $288,920.00
- 7.15) Approve an agreement with the Davenport Group for the purchase and installation of an Information Technology network system
- 10.1) Consider entering into an agreement between the City of Enid and Enid Municipal Authority for payment of a worker’s compensation judgment for James Milacek
