The Enid Police Department released a statement on Tuesday saying they had arrested a local man in connection to a shooting that took place on Monday evening.
Ebin C, Semrad, 20, was detained by Enid investigators in the 1300 block of West Oklahoma on Tuesday morning. During an interview, Semrad confessed to the shooting of 35-year-old Clayton Wilmont.
Semrad, along with 35-year-old Damian Rieken, went to confront Wilmont about a stolen motorcycle on Monday night. According to reports, Semrad assaulted Wilmont, shooting him before proceeding to also assault Rieken, leaving him unconscious.
Wilmont was last reported as being in critical condition at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, while Rieken was treated at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital.
The investigation of this case its still ongoing.
