Enid Police Department Detain 12-Year-Old Boy Involved in 51 Vandalism Cases

The Enid Police Department detained a 12-year-old boy on Monday evening in relation to a string of vehicle window vandalism cases.

The boy was located by detectives and interviewed about the 51 vandalism incidents.

The boy later admitted to shooting out car windows at dealerships and businesses with a BB pistol. Detectives recovered the BB gun used in the incidents, as well as the clothing he wore during the incident and the bike he rode.

Overnight between Dec. 6-7, four other incidents happened resulting in 12 more vehicles being vandalized in the same fashion.

The findings of the investigation will be forwarded to the Office of Juvenile Affairs.
