The Enid Police Department’s Official Facebook page announced that Officer Billie McKinney from Enid Police was nominated as the Enid AM Ambucs Officer of the Month for July.

McKinney was nominated by her C-Shift supervisor for her work in investigating a serious felony offense with minimal assistance.

Sgt. James McFadden commented on McKinney’s recent encounters in her line of duty.

“Officer McKinney spoke with the victim, interviewed the subject, and completed a search warrant on that case,” McFadden said. “Officer McKinney has made several arrests after completing investigations, and she has kept up on her reports by completing the investigations that have been assigned back to her.”

The sergeant also complimented McKinney on her positive qualities and reliability.

“Officer McKinney has also shown that she is very knowledgeable as a police officer, and she is also not afraid to ask questions when she needs guidance,” McFadden said. “Officer McKinney has shown a positive attitude and accepts criticism. Officers on her shift as well as other shifts have brought up that she is always willing to take her calls as well as other officer’s calls without complaints.”
