The Enid Public Library, in tandem with the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative, has reported the ongoing success of its Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) program.

Since it was launched in 2021, the SAIL program offers a dynamic fitness, balance and strength program for adults ages 65 and up. Additionally, several of the library’s participants share their stories of their improved health and quality of life. The program is designed to accommodate all skill levels with both seated and standing exercises that are focused on improving strength, balance and mobility.

“SAIL is a good workout,” said Dorothy Weidner. “It’s gentle exercises, but you get a good workout and you build your stamina.”
