Enid Public Library to Host ‘A Deep Dive into the Life of Marquis James with John Mallon”

The Enid Public Library is scheduled to host “A Deep Dive into the Life of Marquis James with John Mallon” on Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m.

This event will be free to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

Mallon, the author of several historical novels and a cousin of the late Marquis James, will be coming to discuss his new book “Marquis James: A Biographer’s Life”. Additionally, Mallon will also be coming to give the library a substantial donation of materials to expand the Marquis James room collection.

After discussing his book, Mallon will be selling and signing copies of said book.

Marquis James, an Enid native, was a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner for his work in biographical writing. James’ most critically acclaimed works include “The Raven: A Biography of Sam Houston,” “Andrew Jackson: The Border Captain” and “Andrew Jackson: Portrait of a President”.
