Garfield County Judge Lovell Indicted for Alleged Drive-By Shooting

Multi-County Grand Jury indicted associate district judge Brian Lovell on charges relating to a drive-by shooting that occurred in February 2023.

Lovell allegedly fired a gun at his brother-in-law’s residence in Bison, Oklahoma on Feb. 12, 2023. Two days later, Lovell claimed his gun was stolen from his vehicle.

Lovell faces one count of ‘use of a vehicle to facilitate the discharge of a firearm’ and a separate count of ‘discharging a firearm into a dwelling.’

Additionally, Lovell is also facing eight felony counts of deadly conduct for a similar accident in Austin, Texas on Sept. 11, 2023.

Every person arrested or charged is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
