Gaslight Theatre is hosting auditions for two upcoming shows “Angel Street” and “The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Macbeth”
Auditions for Angel Street will take place on Aug. 28-29 at the Turpin.
Auditions will be held from 7:30-9:30 p.m.; the following are the positions available:
- Three women
- Two men
- Two non-speaking roles for men
Angel Street, directed by Tiffany Harvey, follows the Manninghams. Guising as a kind-hearted soul, the diabolical Mr. Manningham is torturing his wife into insanity. He’s accusing her of petty anomalies that he has arranged himself. While her husband is out of the house, a benign policy inspector visits her and ultimately proves that her husband is a maniacal criminal suspected of murder. The mystery ensues to uncover evidence to expose Mr. Manningham and put a stop to his evil reign.
The next audition available is for the show: The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Macbeth, directed by Janet Jones.
This audition is slated for Aug. 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. in the Gaslight Theatre.
The cast available for auditioning includes the following:
- 3 men/male presenting
- 6 women/female presenting
The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society ladies mount another assault on the classics with a production of Macbeth to get them a slot in the Welwyn Garden City Finals. Under the watch of adjudicator George Peach, all events connive against him right under his nose.
All people auditioning for a role must be 18 years of age at the time of audition and they must abide by the Gaslight Theatre code of conduct.
