Derek Darr sat down with Julie Nelson from Hospice Circle of Love to discuss the upcoming biannual Book Sale in late April.
Nelson began by discussing information about the sale and the book prices.
“We’re looking forward to it…on April 25 and 26. We have several thousand books that people can choose from. We sell all the hardbacks for $2 and paperbacks for just a dollar, so it’s a huge bargain. We have a lot of [almost new books], so most of them are in good to great condition. You can pick up some reading material at a very cheap price.”
“We have people donate books to us pretty much every day; we have a huge stock of them.”
Nelson also talked about some of the genres of books for sale.
“We keep them in our north building, and that’s where we have the sale at 314 South 3rd St. We have a large variety, lots of good mysteries, fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, cookbooks [and] a lot of religious books. So we invite folks to come [and] check it out.”
