Kale Campbell Wins Hanor & KNID Agricultural Scholarship

Kale William Campbell won the Hanor & KNID Agricultural Scholarship of $3,000 among 32 contestants.

The scholarship’s goal was to contribute to the future of agriculture by providing a currently enrolled collegiate ag student a chance to receive a $3000 scholarship towards the cost of attendance.

32 applicants submitted their names, schools, and fields of study and a short essay about why they deserved the scholarship. The winner was selected by the Hanor and KNID Agrifest Scholarship Committee which included: Zach Godde, an agent with Wells Crop Insurance; and Lori Coonrod, Membership and Special Events Director from the Enid Chamber of Commerce.

Growing up in rural Oklahoma, Kale always had a love for farming. But when his father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, his dream seemed to be out of reach. but upon reaching NOC and OSU, he became a part of the Livestock Judging Team and the Oklahoma State Livestock Judging Team respectively. Campbell travelled extensively as well as maintaining a 4.0 GPA. He plans to live in a rural community in Oklahoma and help those in 4-H and FFA.

Campbell is the winner of the first-ever Hanor & KNID Agricultural Scholarship for $3,000.
