Stick around until after sunset for a massive fireworks show!

Colby Talley sat down with Lahoma Police Chief Matthew Hankins and Fire Chief Blade Bode to discuss the 4th of July Celebration.

Chief Hankins highlighted the large fireworks show that will kick off at night.

“This year we’re still gonna have a 45-minute firework show roughly, but we also got extra explosion stuff that’s gonna be in it that you have not seen around here.”

Hankins shared why the Lahoma PD and FD love to host this event.

“It actually gets us more involved with our community and the people around [us]. And we have a lot of people come from Enid and everywhere else …It just lets us have a fun time. We get to blow stuff up.”

The dept. is looking for door prizes to give out during the car show. Gift baskets, hats, cleaning supplies, and tools are recommended.

The prizes will be given out during the car show; businesses that supply gifts will be listed.

Funds raised from the car show will be donated to the Cimarron Summer League to help pay for uniforms and equipment.
