A brand new exhibit is set to come to the Mabee Foundation Gallery in the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center: “A Body of Work: More Than Skin Deep”.
The exhibit, which will be open from Tuesday, April 15 to Sunday, June 15, features artwork from local tattoo artists who express their creativity through a diverse range of styles and mediums. These styles include paintings, drawings, beadwork and other forms that showcase these artists’ talents.
The exhibit will also explore the history of tattooing, which includes its recent legalization in Oklahoma.
Some featured artists will include Culture Tattoo in Enid and Red Sagas Tattoo Parlor in Woodward. Selected artwork on display will be available for purchase.
