Derek Darr from EnidLIVE! sat down with Roger Gosen from Kremlin-Hillsdale to discuss the upcoming 36th Annual Trivia Challenge.
Gosen began by talking about the event as a whole.
“We have a trivia night coming up with ‘Pub Style Trivia,’ where teams of up to six players, [of] any age, can play. We sit at the tables and I ask questions, [using] a group of eight rounds. Each [are] different categories like general knowledge, current events, sports round, academic rounds, and a lot of fun; and people just [work] together and answer questions…The cost is $20 per person for each person on your team…All funds go to [supporting] the academic teams as we go to different academic meets, and help pay for some of their meals, entry fees, and travel expenses.”
Gosen highlighted the importance of having a well-rounded team, as the range of questions will be diverse.
“It’s good to have a well-versed [and] well-rounded team because there’s a lot of different categories. And you can talk, confer together and come up with your answer. It’s [only] a short time to get it, but you don’t have to buzz in, it’s not [about] the fastest person on the buzzer. So, we think it takes away a little bit of the intimidation factor, lets people have more fun.”
The 36th Annual Trivia Challenge will take place at the Kremlin Community Building with pub-style trivia.
