The City of Enid recently released a PSA regarding safety around snow plows in Enid.
The City of Enid has three plow vehicles, which limits the routes taken. The Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation plows highways such as: U.S. Highway 412, U.S. Highway 81, Willow Ave. and 30th St. The vehicles will scatter sand and salt on the roads to increase traction for other driver. When encountering a snow plow on the road, maintain a distance of 100 ft at minimum.
A map is provided below which contains the routes for the snow plows. The plows are not allowed to enter residential areas; motorists are encouraged to drive cautiously when near approaching one, and when driving on residential roads.
